In early October I’ll be in Maribor, Slovenia, for the conference “New Materialist Politics and Economies of Knowledge“. I’ll present some reflections on the status of knowledge in new materialist theories and in particular how knowledge enables or precludes agency. I’ll also touch the topic how the rather metaphysical strands of new materialist thinking conflict with political aims or agendas on the issue of knowledge. The talk will be titled “Knowledges and the struggle for agency.”
